More than just physio....

Our appointment at Carmelita house in Ealing was really quick a lovely young lady called Alice took our appointment, she looked at, felt and flexed both of Oscars feet and explained that his left foot was in good working order but gave us some stretches to do in order to add more flexibility to the heal of the foot. The right foot needed more attention/investigation and Alice would send a letter to our GP for a referral to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for a consultation. Alice explain about the different types of Talapis/Clubfoot and the ways in which they are treated at this point i couldn't hold back the tears I was hoping to hear that physiotherapy was all we needed but I was reassured that clubfoot is very common and that 1 in 1000 babies are now born with this and the success rate is very very good to recovery which helped to reassure me that my little one was going to be ok.
