Breast Feeding....

From before Oscar was born my husband and I knew we wanted to give Oscar the best change in life by opting to breast feed him as I come from a long line of breast feed babies and it seemed the right thing to do along with all the scientific evidence that breastfeeding has so many benefits for a growing new born and not to mention the weight loss factor.!!! My husband suffers from numerous amounts of allergies so it would only be logical to breastfeed to help ward off those inherited allergies. Breast feeding did not come naturally to me, I'm quite a shy type who as my husband would put it is very english and quite reserved at times. I think also I just really didn't know what I was doing when it came to breastfeeding as I was a first time mum, but with a lot of help from my midwife, a breast pump and bottle and my determination Oscar and I finally after I would say a good few weeks cracked it, hooray! Well we made a good start anyway!
