Growing up fast!...

Oscar is now 4 and getting ready to start School in September! Time has flown by this past year. We are now coming up to Oscars next 6 monthly appointment at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London at the end of the month. Oscar has definatly grown a lot over the past year and although he is still quite small he's not the smallest in his year! He is still really good at wearing his boots and bar and never complains! He is wearing them at night for 12 hours minimum and we have no causes for concerns at this moment. I will update again after our appointment. I have joined a lot of clubfoot / talipes groups recently on Facebook which has been a fascinating insight into other peoples clubfoot journeys. Although it does slightly scare me with the abundance of not so successful journeys, most of which have resulted from post surgery effects and pain from tight muscles, I just hope that being strict with his boot routine, wearing good fitting shoes, keeping up with his hospital appointments, keeping his boots on until he is 5 or longer if needs be and making sure he is using those feet running around, riding his bike to strengthen his feet is enough only time will tell.
