Walking cast...

Winchester, Home.
17th January 2017

The day after his lower leg cast was put on, he really struggled to put any weight on his foot and this went on for over a week. He said it was painful and felt strange and uncomfortable where the button was.

We allowed Oscar to naturally start to put weight onto his foot which came on day 8 of walking cast. He was so pleased with himself once he finally managed it. After another week he was totally independent and only in the evening complaining of a bit of pain.

We brought an outdoor sealskin sock from Limbo products a great investment this allowed Oscar to do what he loves most, play out doors and being winter this waterproof sock was needed.

We even had snow that he went out in, which he used his walking frame as a sledge!!

By this stage we needed to constantly remind him to slow down and take it easy, luckily he is sensible and understood he couldn't through himself around.
